Erie Insurance Raises $23K for Relay for Life

Several Erie Insurance Employees joined other cancer survivors and care takers for the Survivor Lap during the open ceremonies of the 2008 Relay for Life in Erie, Pa.

Sept. 4, 2008 - In Erie, nine ERIE-sponsored teams recently raised $23,000 for the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life. With more than 100 participants — including family and friends — the teams kept the 24-hour walking vigil during the event held July 19-20.

The Erie relay is held annually in five locations within Erie Country and in cities across the country. Relay for Life celebrates survivorship and raises funds for the American Cancer Society’s programs and research in hopes of one day eliminating cancer.
